a town of Austrian Italy, in the province of Brescia, on the Oglio, 20 miles S.S.W. of Brescia. It is an old walled town, and has a ruined castle, formerly very strong. Many of the houses are well built. There is much manufacturing industry; and an active trade is carried on in corn and wine. Pop. 5870.
