or SLANT, a town of the Austrian Empire, Bohemia, in the circle and 20 miles N.W. of Prague. It is walled, and contains a town-hall, Franciscan convent, Piarist college, and high school. There are in the town manufactures of cloth and beet-root sugar; and in the vicinity, salt-springs and coal-pits. Pop. 4531.
