a town of England, in the county of Kent, 15 miles W. by N. of Canterbury, and 38 E.S.E. of London. It consists of one wide street on the road from London to Canterbury; and contains a spacious parish church, and another place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. Several annual fairs are held here.
