a market-town of Ireland, in the county of Waterford, 10 miles N.W. of Youghal, and 38 miles W. by S. of Waterford. It has a fine old parish church, a Roman Catholic chapel, an hospital, alms-houses, and a poor-house. Many of the women are employed in making lace. Pop. 1986.
