a town of the United States of N. America, Indiana, on the E. bank of the Wabash, 73 miles W.S.W. of Indianapolis. It is regularly and well built, partly of brick and partly of wood; and it has a court-house, town-hall, numerous churches, an academy, and other handsome buildings. The trade of the town is rapidly increasing, grain, flour, and pork being the chief articles. Pop. 4900.
