CHRYSITRIX, in botany: A genus of the dioecia order, belonging to the polygamia class of plants. In the hermaphrodite the glume is two-valved, the corollae from chaff numerous and bristly; many stamens, one within each chaff; one pistillum. The male is the hermaphrodite; there is no pistillum.
