CORONÆ (anc. geog.), a town of Bœotia, near mount Helicon, and the lake Copais, situated on an eminence; famous for the defeat of the Athenians and Bœotians by Agesilaus.—Another Coronæ of Thessaly; having Narthacium to the east, and Lamia near the Sperchius, to the north, (Ptolemy).
