ADIRBEITSAN, in geography, a province of Persia, in Asia, and part of the ancient Media. It is bounded on the N. by the province of Shirvan, on the S. by Irac-Agemi and Curdiistan, on the E. by Gilan and the Caspian sea, and on the W. by Turcomania.
