CORONÆ, in Ancient Geography, a town of Bœotia, near Mount Helicon, and the lake Copais, situated on an eminence: famous for the defeat of the Athenians and Bœotians by Agelaus. Another Corona of Thessaly; having Narthacium to the east, and Lamia near the Sperchius to the north (Ptolemy).
