GLAMOUR county: they have likewise coal and lead ore. The south part is so remarkably fertile, pleasant, and populous, that it is generally styled the garden of Wales; but it has no manufacture. This county was formerly full of castles, most of which are now fallen to decay. It has many small harbours on the coast for exporting coals and provisions. Of the former it sends large quantities both to England and Ireland; but of the latter, to England almost solely, especially butter. It sends two members to parliament, one for the shire, and one for the borough of Cardiff the capital.
