MULHEIM, a city of the Prussian government of Düsseldorf, in the circle of Essen. It stands on the river Ruhr, and contains 700 houses, and 5650 inhabitants, who make much cotton-twist, woollen cloths, and paper, and carry on a considerable trade on the Rhine. There are several establishments for building vessels.
