NATOLIA, the modern name of Asia Minor, the most westerly part of Turkey in Asia, and consisting of a large peninsula, which extends from the river Euphrates as far as the Archipelago, the Sea of Marmora, and the Straits of Gallipoli and of Constantinople, by which it is separated from Europe on the west. It is bounded on the north by the Black Sea, and on the south by the Mediterranean.
