COINAGE.
Machine for casting the Ingets of Silver at the Mint.
This plate contains four figures illustrating a machine for casting silver ingots. Fig. 1 is a large perspective view of the entire machine, showing a complex system of gears, levers, and a large curved arm (C) that holds a mold. Fig. 2 is a detailed view of the casting mold (M) with its internal structure. Fig. 3 shows the mechanical frame (X) and gears (Z) that drive the machine. Fig. 4 shows the mold components (S) and their arrangement.

British Miles
