IRISH SEA is that part of the Atlantic lying between Great Britain and Ireland, between N. Lat. 51. 40. and 54. 30., and having St George's Channel on the S. and the North Channel on the N. It contains the Isles of Man and Anglesea, with Holyhead and some smaller islets.
