COLONIA Valentia, (Ptolemy, Livy); a town of the Hither Spain, on the Turias; destroyed by Pompey, (Sallust); restored by Julius Caesar. Still called Valencia, on the river Guadalaviar, in Valencia. W. Long. 35. Lat. 39. 20.
