FETTI, Domenico, an eminent painter in the style of Julio Romano, was born at Rome in 1589, and educated under Ludovico Civioli of Florence. He painted but little for churches, but excelled in history; his pictures are much sought after, and are scarce. He abandoned himself to disorderly courses; and put an end to his life by excesses, in the 35th year of his age.
