Hans or John, son to the foregoing, was also an excellent artist. He drew and engraved exactly in the style of his father, and was in every respect equal to him in merit. He must have been very old when he died; for his prints are dated from 1555 to 1622. He assisted his father in all his great works, and engraved besides a prodigious number of plates of various subjects. One of his best prints is Moses striking the rock, a large print, lengthwise, from Lambert Lombard. A great number of small figures are introduced into this print; and they are admirably well executed: the heads are fine, and the drawing very correct.
