(*ἀναδιπλοσίς*), in *Rhetoric* and *Poetry*, a repetition of the last word of a line, or clause of a sentence, in the beginning of the next: thus,

Pierides, vos haec facietis maxima Gallo: Gallo, ejus amor, &c. Et matutinis acrecula vocibus instat, Vocibus instat, et assidua jacti ore querelas.
