The situation is on an elevated plain, agreeable, and very beautiful; the temperature mild and equable; and the water abundant and wholesome. Around Fuensalida are produced wheat, barley, beans, kidney beans, vetches, tares, apples, grapes, and some olives. The principal manufacture is soap, the people around being mostly engaged as labourers and carriers.
