a town in the circle of Prerau, Austrian province of Moravia, 28 miles N.E. of Prerau. It has manufactures of linen and woollen goods, and about 3500 inhabitants.

the village in Yorkshire, 6 miles S.W. of Leeds, takes its name from this town, a colony of Moravians having settled there about 1723. Most of the inhabitants are still of that sect.
