a town of Brazil, province of Piauiy, Pernagoa stands on the E. side of a large lake of the same name, 250 miles S.S.W. of Oeiras. It is the seat of a justice of the peace; and contains a fine church. Some trade is carried on in tobacco grown in the vicinity, and in horses and mules. Pop. 4000.
