or Prestwick, a burgh of barony of Scotland, in the county and 4 miles N.E. of Ayr. It is an old and decayed place, with a deserted church that serves as a sea-mark to ships in the Firth of Clyde, a cross, council-house, and prison. Pop. (1851) 1200.
