a town of France, in the department of Marne, on the slope of a hill, 25 miles S.W. of Epernay. It was formerly fortified, and the site of its defences is now occupied with fine boulevards. There is a curious old church, with painted glass in the windows. Flour, oil, vinegar, leather, coarse cloth, tiles, and earthenware are made here; and there is some trade in honey and wax. Pop. 4453.
