a town of British India, in the district and 12 miles N.W. of Furruckabad, 88 miles N.E. of Agra. It stands in a marshy track 8 miles from the west bank of the Ganges, and formerly was a much more important town than it is at present, yielding an annual revenue of L20,000. Pop. 6920.
