or Tarodant, a town of Morocco, capital of the province of Sus, in the midst of a rich and beautiful plain, 46 miles from the coast, and 110 S.W. of Morocco. It is well built of stone, and surrounded with lofty and thick walls. Dyeing, tanning, and the making of saltpetre are carried on here, and there is some trade in copper and cloth. Pop. 22,000.
