a town of Saxony, in the circle and 5 miles W.N.W. of Zwickau, on the Pleisse. It has two churches, manufactories of woollen and cotton cloth and of nets, and some dyeworks. The trade of the town is facilitated by the Saxon and Bavarian Railway, on which it stands. Pop. 7327.
