a town of Spain, in the province and 52 miles W.N.W. of Saragossa, on the Queiles, which is here crossed by three bridges. It rises gradually from the river, and has a fine appearance from a distance. The chief buildings are the Gothic cathedral with its spire of brick, several other churches, the Episcopal palace, town-hall, and Moorish castle. Leather and hats are made here, and there are oil and flour mills; but most of the people are employed in agricultural or pastoral pursuits. Pop. 5966.
