UPTON-UPON-SEVERN, a market town of England, in the county and 10 miles S. of Worcester, on a cliff forming the right bank of the Severn, here crossed by a stone bridge of six arches. It is neatly built, and has an elegant modern parish church, with the Gothic tower of a more ancient building. The river is here navigable for vessels of 100 tons burden; and there are a wharf and a harbour for barges. Large quantities of cider are exported from this place. Pop. of the parish, 2696.
