URATEPE, or OKA TURE, a town of Independent Turkestan, Bokhara, 90 miles N.E. of Turkestan. It is enclosed by high walls and a moat; and contains regular streets, earthen houses, and a number of mosques. The inhabitants carry on an important trade with Russia and Khokan.
